Florida's Orange County Signs 3-Year Fuel Purchase Agreement
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – Central Florida's largest government, Orange County, approved plans to buy gasoline and diesel fuel that could cost $4.9 million annually for three years, according to Orlando Sentinel.
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – Central Florida's largest government, Orange County, approved plans to buy gasoline and diesel fuel that could cost $4.9 million annually for three years, according to Orlando Sentinel. Orange County School District officials estimate that they may spend as much as $1 million more next year on diesel as a result of higher prices. Seminole County in Florida is also looking to add an extra $620,000 into this year's spending plan to cover fuel costs. A few governments have been dipping into reserves to cover budget gaps caused by higher fuel prices this year. Others may cut services, or scale back on office supplies and trips.
