Government Fleet magazine has extended the nomination deadline for the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award until March 17. The annual award, now in its 10th year, recognizes excellence in fleet management. General Motors and Lytx, formerly DriveCam, are sponsoring the award.
Any industry professional can nominate a fleet manager for this award, and self-nominations are accepted. Qualified nominees will be asked to complete an essay questionnaire that judges will use to rank candidates. A peer group of working public-sector fleet managers from around the country judges the award.
Candidates are judged on the following criteria — business plan, technology implementation, productivity, policies, preventive maintenance program, utilization management, replacement program, customer service, fuel management, and safety.
The winner will be announced at the Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX), which takes place June 2-4 in San Diego. The winner and finalists will be featured in Government Fleet magazine.
To nominate a fleet manager for this award, visit the Government Fleet awards page. Nominations will be accepted until March 17.
