Fla. Fire Rescue Hiring Fleet Maintenance Director
The Palm Beach County (Fla.) Fire Rescue (PBCFR) Department is hiring a fleet maintenance director to replace Tim Calhoun.
The Palm Beach County (Fla.) Fire Rescue (PBCFR) Department is hiring a fleet maintenance director who will be responsible for the efficient operation of the fleet of PBCFR apparatus/vehicles, self-contained breathing apparatus, and two-way communication equipment. This person will direct the personnel and resources of the support services fleet section, which consists of 24 professional, technical, and support staff.
Qualified applicants must have at least an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science or Business/Public Administration as well as a minimum of eight years of experience in a fleet maintenance environment with three years of progressive supervisory and managerial experience, or equivalent. A related Bachelor’s degree and CAFM (Certified Automotive Fleet Manager) certification is preferred.
The annual salary is $96,660, negotiable based on qualifications. The benefits package is competitive for the South Florida marketplace.
