SPRINGFIELD, IL - The City of Springfield, Ill., has engaged CST Fleet Services to assess the advantages of fleet consolidation, inclusive of asset management, maintenance, and fuel, according to the company.
A fiscal sustainability report for the City recommended it centralize its four fleets into one and hire a fleet manager. The report found the City had not been spending on capital expenditures and that in order to spend more on infrastructure, it should also reduce the number of people it employs.
Jon White, partner of CST Fleet Services stated, “We are very enthusiastic about supporting the City of Springfield with this analysis. This is a well-managed City, and there are opportunities to improve services for the citizens and save fleet budget in the process.”
