LANSING, MI - The City of Lansing city council voted to issue $3.2 million in federal stimulus bonds to create a consolidated garage to manage an approximately 1,150-unit fleet, according to the Lansing State Journal.
Lansing currently operates two city garages and other storage locations, which results in inefficiencies and duplicate services, according to fleet manager Greg Klco. One services about 300 vehicles while the other services about 700 vehicles and equipment. The two garages have separate inventory and parts rooms.
