BEVERLY, MA – Beverly city councilors are looking to curb the use of city vehicles by off-duty public employees after news spread of a former public safety commissioner that will be getting bigger pension payments by including the personal-use value of the city-issued SUV he drove, according to the Beverly Citizen.
BEVERLY, MA – Beverly city councilors are looking to curb the use of city vehicles by off-duty public employees after news spread of a former public safety commissioner that will be getting bigger pension payments by including the personal-use value of the city-issued SUV he drove, according to the Beverly Citizen. Ron Costa, Ward 2, has asked the Boston City Council to consider having city employees sign a waiver that would not allow them to claim the personal use of their city-issued vehicle. In addition, he wants almost all city vehicles banned from being brought home at night by city workers.
