DENVER – A bill that would require the State of Colorado to fill its trucks’ gas tanks with biodiesel passed 5-1 in the State Senate Transportation Committee, according to the Durango Herald newspaper. The bill by State Sen. Lewis Entz, and State Rep. Ray Rose, would mandate the use of a 20-percent blend of biodiesel if the price of the alternative fuel is no more than 10 cents extra. Legislative staffers said 37 state vehicles would be affected by the bill. The bill does not cover Department of Transportation vehicles. The bill will now go to the full State Senate.
