ANAHEIM, CA – City of Anaheim, Calif., Fleet Superintendent Ron Lindsey, PCFM, provided Government Fleet staff with a facility tour, as well as an update on fleet operations, on Nov. 13.
Lindsey became the Anaheim fleet superintendent in February. Since Lindsey’s move, Fleet Services (which is part of the Public Works Division of Fleet & Facility Services) has created a formal motor pool and a new logo for city fleet vehicles, and the Fleet Services Team is working on the transition to a Web-based fleet management information system (FMIS). For its police fleet, the City is piloting three Dodge Chargers and three Chevrolet Tahoes. These vehicles were recently delivered and are currently awaiting upfitting.
The City of Anaheim manages and maintains approximately 1,200 units. The Fleet Services Team consists of 32 members operating out of a 47,000 sq. ft., 30-bay repair facility. View a photo gallery of the City of Anaheim’s fleet facility.
