Police officers for the City of Avondale Estates, Ga., should have take-home vehicles, its city manager urged. Patrick Bryant, city manager, proposed a take-home car program and said his goal is to have a take-home car for every officer to improve officers’ compensation package, AJC reported.

Elected officials were non-committal on the idea, with one citing the difficulty of adding more vehicles to the fleet.
