Seminole County has awarded a contract to First Vehicle Services. The company will handle the management, maintenance, and repair of the county's fire fleet, which includes more than 200 fire vehicles and equipment.

Through this agreement, First Vehicle Services will provide 10 management, technical, and support personnel. All technicians are certified by the National Institute for Automobile Service Excellence (ASE) and Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission (EVT).

First Vehicle will also provide enhanced vehicle diagnostic systems to manage fleet efficiency and push real-time maintenance notifications to technicians.

“Our goal is to provide an effective solution that helps reduce operating costs and increase fire fleet efficiency,” said Dale Domish, senior vice president at First Vehicle Services. “Fire equipment needs to be ready at a moment’s notice, and we are proud to partner to support this life-saving service for the citizens of Seminole County.”

Prior to this contract, fire fleet maintenance was outsourced to a different provider.
