North Dakota officials have launched an investigation into all police vehicles purchased through a state contract after the dealership that holds the contract overcharged law enforcement agencies in its home state of Minnesota, reports KARE 11.

Charges were first brought against Gerry Worner, a former fleet manager for Nelson Auto in Fergus Falls, Minn., earlier this year. At the time, it was reported that Worner charged extra for standard equipment that should have been included in the price specified in state contracts, such as engine block heaters, spotlights, heated mirrors, and deactivated rear windows.

According to a separate report from KARE 11, at least 205 police and government agencies in Minnesota were overcharged between 2014 and 2017. Minnesota officials told KARE 11 they expect roughly $700,000 to be refunded to law enforcement agencies across the state once the final audit is finished.
