The City of Muncie, Ind., is beginning its conversion to a compressed natural gas (CNG) fleet with a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor converted to run on CNG, The Star Press reported. Indy CNG converted the vehicle free of charge, but the police department can’t use it until the vehicle receives approval from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The City has already started conversion of its 12 natural gas trucks to run on CNG and is building a fueling station that will be open to the public.
