Altec Aerial Trucks: Hydraulic Hoses May Overheat and Cause a Fire

Altec is recalling certain 2024 AT200A aerial trucks. Inadequate clearance between the hydraulic hoses and the engine exhaust manifold may result in the hoses overheating. Hydraulic hoses that overheat can increase the risk of a fire.

Altec will install a remedy kit to secure the hose routing farther away from the exhaust manifold, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 2, 2024.

E-One Fire Trucks: Engine Crossmember May Break

E-One is recalling certain 2020-2024 Cyclone 2, Typhoon N, 2021- 2024 Cyclone N, and 2021 Quest 2 fire trucks. The engine crossmember may break, allowing the cooling fan to contact the fan shroud and become damaged.

Dealers will inspect and repair the crossmember as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 1, 2024.

Ford Trucks: Improperly Illuminated Gear Indicator | Lights & Child Seat Anchors Not Attached Properly 

Ford is recalling certain 2024 F-53 Recreational Stripped Chassis and 2024 F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis trucks. The instrument panel cluster may not properly display the transmission gear position indicator. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission Shift Position Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect."

Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 18, 2024.

In a separate recall, Ford is recalling certain 2024 Maverick trucks. The second-row child seat tether anchors may not properly secure a child seat, due to incomplete thread engagement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

Dealers will repair the tether anchorage points, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 2, 2024.

Ford Trucks and SUVs: Loss of Steering from Front Control Arm Separation

Ford is recalling certain 2024 Ranger trucks, and 2024-2025 Bronco SUVs. The front upper control arm ball joint nut may not have been installed or tightened properly, allowing the front upper control arm to detach from the knuckle assembly.

Dealers will inspect and verify that the ball joint fastener is tightened properly. If a fastener is loose or missing, the dealer will replace the ball joint and knuckle assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on October 28, 2024.

Ford Vans: Seat Back Malfunction

Quality Van is recalling one 2023 Ford Transit 350 vehicle, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

Quality Van will work with the equipment manufacturer, Freedman, to inspect and repair the seats as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification.

Ford Vehicles: Loss of Power Brake Assist

Ford is recalling certain 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. An Over-The-Air (OTA) update to the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) may result in a loss of power brake assist, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, and driver assistance features.

Dealers will update the ABS calibration, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 4, 2024.

GM SUVs: Missing Tire Information and GVWR Label

General Motors is recalling certain 2024 Buick Envision SUVs. The vehicles are missing the label that states the tire size, pressure, and the loading information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Dealers will install the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 11, 2024.

GM SUVs: Vehicle Door May Open Unexpectedly

General Motors is recalling certain 2025 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, and Equinox SUVs. The door strikers were not properly heat-treated, which can cause them to break. A broken door striker can cause the door to open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will replace all four side door strikers and attachment bolts, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealership inventory and therefore no owner notification letters are expected to be mailed.

GM Trucks: Inactive Air Bags May Fail to Deploy

General Motors is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, 6500HD trucks. The air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) may not have been activated during installation.

A Navistar technician will activate the air bag module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 18, 2024.

GM Trucks: Roof Rail Air Bag Inflator End Cap May Detach

General Motors is recalling certain 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2018-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 Crew Cab trucks. The left or right-side roof-rail air bag (RRAB) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator or the inflator sidewall may rupture.

Dealers will replace the left and right side RRAB modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 25, 2024.

GM Trucks: Turn Signals May Not Be Visible

General Motors is recalling certain 2024 GMC Sierra EV trucks. The front turn signal lights and parking lights may be too similar in brightness, making it difficult to see the front turn signals when they are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Dealers will replace the headlamp multipurpose LED driver (MLD) module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 25, 2024.

Hyundai Vehicles: Vehicle Fire when Parked

Hyundai is recalling certain 2019-2024 Nexo cars. The thermally activated pressure relief device (TPRD) may break and cause a hydrogen gas leak, which can result in a fire while parked.

Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Dealers will replace the TPRD, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 10, 2024.

McNeilus Garbage Trucks: Incorrectly Located License Plate Light

McNeilus is recalling certain 2010-2024 Rear Loader garbage trucks. The license plate light was installed in the wrong location and may not fully illuminate the license plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Dealers will relocate the light free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 13, 2024.

Motiv Vans: Loose Connection May Cause Loss of Drive Power

Motiv is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-450 vans equipped with a Motiv Gen 4 EPIC powertrain. A wire connection point could loosen, causing a loss of 12-volt control power to the high voltage (HV) batteries.
Motiv field support technicians will inspect and replace the 12-volt control cable as necessary,
free of charge.

Multiquip Mobile Water Trailers: Trailer Frame Welds May Crack

Multiquip is recalling certain 2010-2016 TRLR-55348, 2012-2015 TRLR-55164, and 2013 TRLR-57615 mobile water trailers. The frame welds may crack or break, reducing the trailer's stability while being towed.

Multiquip will mail instructions and reinforcement plates, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 21, 2024.

Nissan SUVs: Rearview Camera Image May Not Display

Nissan is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (OTA) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 21, 2024.

Nissan Vehicles: Fire Risk from Quick Charging Battery

Nissan is recalling certain 2019-2020 LEAF vehicles equipped with a Level 3 quick charging port. The lithium-ion battery may overheat during Level 3 charging.

Owners are advised not to use Level 3 quick charging until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the battery software, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed in October 2024. A second notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available, anticipated in November 2024.

Ram Trucks: Turn Signal Malfunction & Rearview Mirror Glass May Detach

Chrysler is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ram 1500 trucks. The turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective devices, and Associated Equipment."

Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 23, 2024.

Chrysler is also recalling certain 2020-2023 Ram 1500 Classic trucks equipped with heated trailer tow rearview mirrors. The mirror glass may detach from the driver's side heated trailer tow rearview mirror. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Dealers will replace the mirror glass, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 5, 2024.

Ram Vans: Loss of Drive Power

Chrysler is recalling certain 2024 Ram Promaster Battery Electric (BEV) delivery vans. Incorrect software in the motor control processor module (MCPA) may cause a loss of drive power. Dealers will update the MCPA software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 31, 2024.

Terex Heavy Equipment: Jib Extension Cylinder Rod Weld Can Fail

Terex is recalling certain 2023-2024 TL80, TL80/112, TL100, and TM heavy equipment. The jib extension hydraulic cylinder rod may have a weak weld that can fail. A failed weld can result in the cylinder rod separating from the cylinder, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will replace the jib extension cylinders, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 22, 2024.

Toyota SUVs and Trucks: Damaged Tire Sidewall

Toyota is recalling certain 2024 Sequoia Hybrid SUVs and Tundra and Tundra Hybrid trucks. The passenger-side front and rear tires may have inner sidewall damage, which can cause a sudden loss of tire pressure.

Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2024.

Vermeer Trucks: Improperly Welded Tank Door Lift Support

Vermeer is recalling certain 2024-2025 VXT600G2 vacuum trucks. Undersized welds on the lift supports may fail, allowing the spoil tank door to open.

Dealers will repair the lift support welds, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 19, 2024.

Volkswagen SUVs: Brake Master Cylinder Contains Incorrect Part

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2024 Atlas and 2024 Atlas Cross Sport SUVs. The brake master cylinder may have been assembled with an incorrect secondary piston spring retainer, which can block the brake fluid port. An obstructed brake fluid port can cause a loss of brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge. Owner notification letters were
mailed November 21, 2024.
