The United States Postal Service (USPS) has awarded Utilimaster with a $53 million contract for 447 truck bodies to be used for bulk mail delivery. Utilimaster is a brand of The Shyft Group’s Fleet Vehicles & Services business unit. This USPS order is in addition to the previous $214 million multi-year contract for more than 2,000 vehicles, which was completed during the third quarter of 2019.

The USPS order will be built on both cab-over and cab-behind chassis, featuring 18- and 24-foot long bodies. The order is expected to be manufactured during the second quarter of 2022 and will be completed in 2023.
