Chautauqua County, N.Y., officials recently met with Doreen M. Harris, acting President and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), to showcase the results of a NYSERDA grant secured by the County in January 2019.

The $150,000 Clean Energy Communities grant enabled the County’s Department of Public Facilities to purchase three Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles (EVs) for the DPF fleet and charging stations for the EVs, as well as supported major LED lighting upgrades at County facilities. These high-efficiency projects will save the County nearly $40,000 per year in energy costs.
