The limitations of a short ceiling have long plagued fleet garages. Traditional two-post lifts with overhead bars can restrict lifting height, forcing technicians into uncomfortable working positions.
As a solution, BendPak has introduced the 12APF, an open-top two-post lift designed specifically for low-clearance shops.
This new model provides unobstructed lifting capability while maintaining a 12,000-lb. capacity suitable for a wide range of vehicles in a fleet.
Built for Low-Clearance Facilities
The 12APF features shortened columns for installation in shops with limited vertical space and delivers more than six feet of working height beneath the vehicle.
Hydraulic and equalizer lines are routed under a heavy-duty steel floorplate, allowing unobstructed movement of jacks, drain pans, and other service equipment.
“Low ceilings shouldn’t limit the type of work a shop can take on,” said Sean Price, director of product development and quality at BendPak. “The 12APF was engineered to deliver the strength, flexibility, and reliability fleet operations need—regardless of facility constraints.”
The lift accommodates cars, SUVs, vans, and light- to medium-duty trucks up to 12,000 lbs.
Flexible Lifting for Diverse Fleet Vehicles
A key feature of the 12APF is BendPak’s Bi-Metric arm system, which allows technicians to switch between symmetric and asymmetric lifting without changing arms.
Triple-telescoping arms retract to 26 inches and extend to 60 inches, enabling access to a wide range of OEM lift points, including those on larger or irregularly configured fleet vehicles. Dropped arm ends improve access under low-clearance vehicles.
The lift comes standard with frame cradle pads and multiple adapter sizes to support varying vehicle types commonly found in fleet operations.

Much stronger than traditional swing arm restraints, ASARS provides a full 360-degree grip with 10 times the holding power to lock the lift arms firmly in place under the vehicle.

Enhanced Safety and Durability
The 12APF incorporates BendPak’s safety lock system along with its Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System (ASARS), which provides a full 360-degree grip and significantly greater holding force than conventional restraints. This ensures lift arms remain securely positioned during service.
The lift has been independently tested by a nationally recognized testing laboratory and is certified by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), meeting industry safety and performance standards.
BendPak backs the 12APF with a 5-2-1 warranty, including five years on the structure, two years on hydraulic components, and one year on other parts, labor, and freight.
