Radio Engineering Industries, Inc. (REI) introduces two new wireless fleet software add-ons for REI’s mobile video surveillance system. The A.R.M.O.R.-Auto Pilot offers new reporting and event management features, and A.R.M.O.R.-Diagnostics gives users the ability to monitor fleet vehicle health and condition.
A.R.M.O.R-Auto Pilot manages wireless downloading, reporting and automated notification of video events a user defines, as well as video download requests made while the vehicle is off or in the lot. The software tool allows a user to determine which events are reported and the urgency of those events, while viewing the events in an easy-to-navigate environment, the company stated. A.R.M.O.R-Auto Pilot can be used over the web or within your current IT infrastructure.
A.R.M.O.R-Diagnostics is a vehicle, DVR and camera diagnostics software tool that allows monitoring of a fleet’s health status. More importantly, with the J1939 CAN-BUS option, a user can monitor a vehicle’s health, including excessive idling through RPM detection, fuel usage, mechanical issues, check engine lights, tire and oil pressure, and historical maintenance records. Alerts can be sent via text to a phone or to an email address.
The server based software components can be used independently or combined for a complete safety solution, according to the company.
