2012 LA Auto Show Design Challenge - Police
The 2012 LA Auto Show's Design Challenge, now in its 9th year, was themed Law Enforcement in 2025. Six design studios designed highway patrol vehicles to meet "the challenges of a specific region’s transportation and societal conditions in 2025.” Entries were judged by Tom Matano, School of Industrial Design at San Francisco's Academy of Art University; Imre Molnar, Detroit College of Creative Studies; Stewart Reed, Pasadena Art Center College of Design; and Bruce Meyer, California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation. 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show
At the 2011 L.A. Auto Show, several major automakers unveiled new models, including the Cadillac XTS and Mazda CX-5. Ford also revealed the new Escape.
