Calif. to Halve Passenger Vehicle Fleet

SACRAMENTO, CA - Governor Jerry Brown issued an executive order on Jan. 28 ordering an immediate halt to non-emergency new car purchases and turn-in of fleet cars not essential to state business. The governor plans to cut California's 11,000-unit passenger vehicle fleet in half.

Albuquerque Reinstates Take-Home Patrol Vehicles

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Albuquerque Police Officers Association sued the City for a policy that limited the take-home car program to police officers who live within the City. The mayor’s office reached an agreement with the APOA that reinstates take-home vehicles for all current officers and that is expected to save taxpayers $1 million.
