Software Provider CentralSquare Adds Asset Management
CentralSquare Technologies, which offers public administration software, is integrating enterprise asset management in its platform.

CentralSquare Technologies, which specializes in public administration and public safety software, is expanding its offerings after acquiring Lucity, a provider of enterprise asset management (EAM) software. In addition to finance, human capital management, taxes, revenue management, and other capabilities already offered through CentralSquare, municipalities will now have the ability to track fleet vehicles, equipment, and other assets using a GIS-based system.
Lucity’s software allows governments to keep track of assets, how those assets are performing, and how long those assets will last. With this acquisition, government employees will be able to complete administrative tasks and keep track of fleet assets all on one platform.
“Nowhere is the need to ‘do more with less’ greater than in managing scarce infrastructure resources while meeting the needs of growing communities and demanding citizens,” said CentralSquare CEO Simon Angove in a statement. “As more assets become IoT-enabled, we are committed to bringing our deep bench of talent in AI and data science to provide smart and actionable insights that enable communities to reduce costs and respond faster to all emerging infrastructure needs.
CentralSquare’s public safety and public administration software is used by more than 7,500 organizations, reaching 3 out of 4 citizens across North America.
