Seminole County Receives $470,000 Check From Serco North America
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL - Seminole County will receive more than $470,000 from Serco North America as a result of a two-year fixed price contract.
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL - Seminole County will receive more than $470,000 from Serco North America as a result of a two-year fixed price contract. The money was generated by cost-savings measures implemented by Serco. Serco performs record keeping, quality assurance services, call center administration, and fleet management and maintenance on a variety of municipal vehicles. Serco implemented their Preventative Maintenance Program. The measures included identifying potential vehicle faults in advance of a break-down, a more cost-effective acquisition of parts and supplies, and better-trained staff, which allowed for more efficient repairs. Serco also assisted the school board, sheriff's department, fire department, and emergency shelters during the storms in 2004.
