Lt. General Russel L. Honoré, the commander who led military relief efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, will give the keynote address at the 2019 Government Fleet Expo & Conference, which takes please June 17-20.
Honoré has more than three decades of military leadership experience, including a notable period where he served as commander of Joint Task Force Katrina, a joint relief effort between the U.S. Department of Defense and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
In Resilient Leadership: Prepare Today to Prevail Tomorrow, Honoré will discuss the importance of strong leadership guided by clarity of purpose and practical tactics for overcoming adversity. The keynote address will include a hearty breakfast, and takes place on June 18 at 8 a.m.
The Government Fleet Expo & Conference is the largest annual gathering of public sector fleet professionals in the country. GFX was recently named one of the fastest growing conferences of 2018, and will take place in New Orleans for 2019. Now in its 12th year, topics covered during the conference include smart cities, staff development, writing specs, and stepping into the fleet manager role.
