Phoenix Police Adds Ice Cream Truck
The Phoenix Police Department has added its first ice cream truck in an effort to connect with the community and engage young people.

The Phoenix Police Department has added its first ice cream truck in an effort to connect with the community and engage young people. It acquired a 2008 Chevrolet van that was donated and wrapped by Courtesy Chevrolet through the Phoenix Police Foundation. The van cost $55,000, Police Chief Jeri Williams said.
The police department’s community relations bureau will operate the van to support community outreach and neighborhood connectivity efforts.
