Pa. City Exempts Its Vehicles from Street Sweeping Tickets
The Allentown (Pa.) City Council has unanimously passed a bill exempting all municipal vehicles from receiving street sweeping tickets if they are parked on official city business.

The Allentown (Pa.) City Council has unanimously passed a bill exempting municipal vehicles from receiving street sweeping tickets if they are parked on official city business.
At a recent city council meeting, Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski presented cases of Public Works and Parks and Recreation vehicles receiving tickets while on the job, the Morning Call reported..
The city passed a similar bill in 2013 extempting city vehicles with a municipal license plate from paying city parking meters. This new street sweeping exemption will apply to all city vehicles with either a municipal license plate or city placard.
