OCEAN CITY, MD – The City of Ocean City, Md., has received two new KME Predator fire engines, both of which are replacing two engines that have been in service for more than 20 years. According to the City’s fire department, these new vehicles will allow it to provide better emergency response services.
The Predator fire engine is powered by an International MAXXForce 13 450 HP motor. Each features a 550-gallon water tank and a 50-gallon foam tank with a 2,000 gpm Waterous Fire Pump. Each vehicle features rear and side view safety cameras for backing and parking and two specialized cabinets that house medical supplies.
The engines also have red and yellow safety markings on the front bumper and back, which makes the vehicles more visible at night and when near units that are working along roads.
