KEY WEST, FL – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has changed its take-home vehicle policy for its deputies. According to Keysnet.com, any newly hired deputy who lives outside the county will have to use a personal vehicle to commute to and from work. The rule also applies to deputies who move to Miami-Dade County.
According to the article, the County made the change because more than half of the sworn officers working for the Sheriff’s Office live in Miami-Dade County.
