Marie Stopes International Partners with Chevin Fleet Solutions
FITCHBURG, MA - Marie Stopes International, a non-government organization and humanitarian sexual health charity, has partnered with Chevin Fleet Solutions to help streamline its worldwide fleet operation.
FITCHBURG, MA - Following a global tender, non-government organization and humanitarian sexual health charity, Marie Stopes International, has partnered with fleet management software provider, Chevin Fleet Solutions, in order to help streamline its worldwide fleet operation.
In addition to using the recently launched next generation of Chevin's flagship application, FleetWave, the NGO will also be integrating with telematics software provided by asset tracking technology firm, Novacom. This integration of fleet management software with telematics technology is a first for the humanitarian sector and will enable Marie Stopes International to obtain increased visibility over the status of its entire fleet, whilst automatically analysing trends in KPIs such as, driver behaviour, and fuel usage.
Commenting on the partnership, Kate Jarman, senior logistics manager at Marie Stopes International, said, "Marie Stopes International provides health outreach services in over 40 countries and last year alone provided sexual health and family planning services to an estimated 7 million couples in some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world. Against this backdrop, ensuring our fleets continue to operate at 100 per cent efficiency is paramount to service delivery.
"We wanted to adopt best practice in managing our fleets and by partnering with Chevin, and utilizing the real-time, automated tracking and analysis tools, we will be empowered to take tighter control of fleet spend whilst making informed decisions about tailoring how outreach services can be better delivered in future."
Replacing the existing paper and excel-based method of fleet data management, Marie Stopes International will soon benefit from a central, Web-based fleet data management application with the ability to provide users with a holistic view over the entire fleet status, including parts, repair, and maintenance, vehicle running costs and fuel usage. Operating in many countries that do not have clearly defined roads, the added tracking functionality will also enable the charity to determine the travelling distance and maximize the time spent with beneficiaries.
Ron Katz, senior vice president of Chevin Fleet Solutions, comments: "With an in depth understanding of the specific needs of humanitarian organizations, thanks to Chevin's longstanding relationships with NGOs including the World Food Programme, this latest partnership firmly cements our leading position in the fleet management software market.
"We're incredibly excited about our latest partnership with Marie Stopes International and confident in FleetWave's ability to help the organization streamline its fleet efficiencies and continue to deliver a much needed service across the globe."
With initial roll out in Uganda scheduled for later this quarter, Kate Jarman hopes to use the anticipated benefits and cost savings to promote global uptake in the early part of next year.
