JACKSONVILLE, FL - Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown appointed Karim Kurji as the chief of fleet management for the City. He brings two decades of experience as a controller, auditor, and accountant that Mayor Brown said will be vital as the department is reviewed for cost savings as part of the government reform legislation, a release from the mayor's office stated.
The Fleet Management Division, under the Central Operations Department, is "responsible for the overall management of motor vehicle service operations of the consolidated government and development and implementation for policies and procedures for motor vehicles and related equipment," according to the legislation passed in December 2011.
