Kanawha County Gets New Space for Vehicles

CHARLESTON, WV - Kanawha County's entire county vehicle fleet will soon be under the same roof, when the new W. Kent Carper Justice and Public Safety Complex opens this month.

CHARLESTON, WV - Kanawha County's entire county vehicle fleet will soon be under the same roof, thanks to the availability of the new W. Kent Carper Justice and Public Safety Complex later this month, according to the Daily Mail.

Currently, the meth cleanup truck, county SWAT trucks, and other vehicles are stored at a variety of locations, including the courthouse parking lot in Dunbar, and at Yeager Airport, reported the Daily Mail.

Named in honor of County Commission President Kent Carper, the complex boasts 54,132 square feet of usable space, including new offices, storage space for the county vehicle fleet, evidence rooms, training facilities, and courtrooms.
