Johnson has moved his way up throughout his time in the industry, from contract administrator to vice president.

While working with fire apparatus manufacturers, the majority of prior positions held were fully engaged with existing and new fire service customers, dealer partners, and various internal teams from sales and marketing to product management and customer service.

This included working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain on new product development projects as well as growing after-market parts to establish future business and support clients throughout the world, Johnson told Government Fleet.

When GF asked Johnson to summarize his background, he said it comes down to people, process, and product.

When asked to summarize his background and focus in just a few words, Jay would tell you it’s all about people, process, and product.
