Ingersoll Rand Receives the Frost & Sullivan Technicians’ Choice Award for Second Consecutive Year

DAVIDSON, NC - Ingersoll Rand has received the 2009 Frost & Sullivan U.S. Automotive Technician's Choice Award for overall best brand of air compressors for the second consecutive year.

DAVIDSON, NC - Ingersoll Rand, a global provider of compressed air technology, has received the 2009 Frost & Sullivan U.S. Automotive Technician's Choice Award for overall best brand of air compressors for the second consecutive year. Among top competitors, the independent survey found that Ingersoll Rand air compressors were preferred as the overall best brand by a margin of two to one.

According to the survey, 38 percent of the U.S. automotive technicians surveyed listed Ingersoll Rand as one of the top three overall best brands in the air compressor category, and 25 percent ranked Ingersoll Rand as No. 1, placing them well above their closest competitors.

The survey was conducted during the months of November and December of 2009 via phone interview with 400 automotive technicians throughout the United States. Survey respondents worked in large and small operations, including both independent and franchise repair shops and dealerships.
