AMSTERDAM, NY – Tim Malone, of Mohawk Lifts has passed away on Dec. 10 at the age of 45. Malone suffered a fatal brain aneurism. He was immediately administered CPR and was taken to the nearby hospital to be put on life support.

Malone’s family was with him by when he passed and decided to honor Tim’s wishes for organ donation. His heart is heading to Baltimore, his liver to John Hopkins University, and his lungs will go to Duke University Medical Center.

“On Dec. 11, the Mohawk family closed the office early, where we all had a Tanqueray and tonic (Tim’s favorite cocktail) and honored him with a toast. We shared all of our individual favorite Tim Malone stories and laughs,” said Steve Perlstein, great friend and 24-year compadre at Mohawk Lifts. “While he’s in a better place, we’ll miss him every day.”

Malone will be cremated in Troy, Mich. where he grew up. His is survived by parents Bob and Betty Malone, sister Kathy, brother-in law Michael, his son, 21 year old John Thomas Malone, who he loved and always spoke of, and best friend and soul mate, Elizabeth Linehan.
