TORRANCE, CAGovernment Fleet has announced its endorsement of the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), a member-owned cooperative, serving all public and non-public educational systems, governmental agencies, and non-profits to create an alliance between buyers and suppliers. NJPA establishes and provides nationally leveraged and competitively solicited purchasing contracts in cooperation with the Uniform Municipal Contracting Law.

"It just makes sense for Government Fleet Magazine to endorse the National Joint Powers Alliance [NJPA] as a valuable resource for public sector fleets," said Government Fleet Associate Publisher Eric Bearly. "NJPA's goal of providing efficient fleet purchasing aligns well with our efforts to promote educated decision-making. When it makes sense, purchasing through NJPA can provide a huge reduction in both time and cost for fleet buyers. We are excited about our new relationship, as we feel they are going to have a positive impact in the public fleet realm."

"We, as a government agency, have an alternative procurement method to help fleets save money," said Greg Haglin, contract manager, NJPA. "We're in unprecedented times, needing to change and find ways to improve efficiencies in the purchasing process for government education and non-profit. Our biggest challenge is to get the word out there of what we have to offer other government agencies to help them do their job easier and more efficiently. I'm excited to have Government Fleet Magazine recognize this as a benefit and so much a benefit to the fleet industry that they are willing to carry our flag for us."

NJPA has been working to educate fleets across the country on cost-saving opportunities at a number of national events and seminars.

More information about the National Joint Powers Alliance is available at www.njpacoop.org or by calling (888) 894-1930.
