During a successful Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) this week, the GFX team announced the dates and location of next year’s event. It will be held at Huntington Place (formerly known as TCF Center) in Detroit, May 23-26. Those interested in speaking at the conference can submit a proposal here.
GFX is the largest gathering of public fleet managers in the nation, an event where they can learn from their peers, discover the latest technologies and equipment, and celebrate the industry’s accomplishments.

This year’s event, which took place November 15-17 in Orlando, Florida, included a Block Party where attendees could test drive vehicles and a Menzi Muck excavator; an educational session produced by the Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association (MEMA), which included distributed copies of Marie Kondo’s Joy at Work book; a keynote from Janine Driver highlighting body language and how fleet managers can use it to improve their recruiting efforts; and 19 educational sessions with topics ranging from electrification to vehicle delivery delays.
It also included the annual Honors Celebration, where fleet operations and fleet managersare recognized. More information about award winners, and the conference, will be published in the January/February issue of Government Fleet.
