HARTFORD, CT – Connecticut’s Governor Dannel Malloy announced that nine municipalities in the state will receive funds from a $20 million federal transportation grant. Two of those projects are for the purchase of alternative-fuel vehicles and fueling infrastructure.
The City of Norwich is receiving $2.08 million for the Regional Alternate Fuel Infrastructure and Clean Vehicle Project to build two compressed natural gas fueling stations and to purchase alternative fuel vehicles. The City of Plymouth is receiving $86,524 to replace five fleet vehicles with hybrid electric vehicles.
