A gunman who killed 22 people earlier this month was driving a replica police car during a portion of a shooting rampage. He had it outfitted with a light bar and decals, and he was wearing a police uniform.  

On April 18 and 19, Gabriel Wortman went on a shooting rampage in rural Nova Scotia, Canada, eventually killing 22 and injuring three people.

The police found Wortman’s home and garage engulfed in flames. Three police vehicles were burning on the property, which police said he had acquired through auctions within the past few years. He was a collector of police memorabilia, was known to own several vehicles that looked like police vehicles, and was also in possession of multiple pieces of police uniforms from a variety of agencies.

During the event, which took place in three clusters across multiple communities, he set the vehicle he was driving on fire, stealing the vehicle of a passerby he had fatally shot. A police officer shot and killed Wortman while he was getting gas.
