Redwood City is using one Zenith cargo van for facilities maintenance, and it has added one electric shuttle each for its local senior center and police fleets. The van for the senior center is equipped with wheelchair lift and automatic sliding doors, while the police van has been set up to collect crime scene evidence.
Danville and Woodland have also added one Zenith cargo van each for maintenance purposes.
Zenith vans offer a range from 90-120 miles per charge (depending on the battery options chosen). The average charging time is 6.5 hours, but can be reduced to four hours with an on-board charger. The shuttle van seats up to 11 passengers, while the cargo van offers a 3,000-pound payload.
