AssetWorks Announces the Deployment of FleetFocus at the City of Cedar Rapids and Cedar Rapids Transit

WAYNE, PA - AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and Automated Fuel Systems, announced that the City of Cedar Rapids and Cedar Rapids Transit has signed a contract to deploy FleetFocus, an industry-leading fleet management system for Municipal Government and Public Transportation Properties.

Cedar Rapids is the second-largest city in Iowa. The City of Cedar Rapids and Cedar Rapids Transit serve a population of well over a hundred thousand residents. The fleet is comprised of 850 units maintained by 36 technicians at 2 shops.

The City of Cedar Rapids selected FleetFocus™ for its advanced fleet management functions and short implementation timeline. “We are looking to FleetFocus to replace a number of systems, mainly spreadsheets, allowing us to more effectively manage our fleet” said Dennis Hogan, City of Cedar Rapids, Fleet Services Manager. “We need the system up and running in ninety days and with AssetWorks’ assistance, we expect to achieve that.”

AssetWorks FleetFocus, a browser-based solution, tracks all functions related to the maintenance of equipment, including processing repair and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, tracking operating expenses (e.g., fuel, oil, and licensing), and tracking and billing for equipment usage. FleetFocus also supports, shop scheduling, replacement analysis, and equipment and replacement planning. With FleetFocus, organizations can reduce maintenance expenditures and inventory expenses, while simultaneously improving productivity, efficiency, and asset utilization.
