LOS ANGELES – CODA has started production of its five-passenger electric mid-size sedan. The company said it will offer a 10-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty for the vehicle and a U.S. base MSRP of $39,900.
In California, the company said federal and state incentives will reduce the price to $29,900 (after federal tax savings up to $7,500) and a California vehicle rebate of $2,500).
The automaker said the sedan’s battery pack enables a fully charged CODA to travel up to 150 miles. In terms of charging, the 6.6kW onboard charger takes 4 hours to provide 100 miles worth of charge, 2 hours for 50 miles of charge, and 6 hours for a full charge.
When it comes to performance, CODA said the Sedan’s electric powertrain can produce up to 134 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque and features a regenerative braking system and an air-cooled active thermal management system.
CODA’s sedans are on display at the LA Auto Show Nov. 18 through Nov. 27.
