DULUTH, MN – The Duluth special weapons and tactics team is awaiting permission from the Duluth City Council to purchase a $151,553 tactical response team vehicle, according to Duluth News Tribune. The heavy-duty vehicle can carry up to a dozen Tactical Response Team members, their weapons, and communications gear, said police Lt. Eric Rish, who researched the vehicle's capabilities.

According to the police department, the vehicle would be well-maintained and used sparingly, and should operate for 25 years.
