OSHKOSH, WI – Oshkosh Truck received a contract estimated to be worth $740.2 million to supply the Marine Corps with new logistics-vehicle system replacement trucks, according to the Web site www.thestreet.com/. The contract’s value is based on the company providing the Marines with 1,592 trucks. The Marines can purchase a maximum of 1,900 cargo, wrecker, and fifth-wheel vehicles during the next six years. Oshkosh said the vehicles are primarily used for transporting supplies such as ammunition, fuel, water, and heavy equipment. The truck carries 33,000 lbs. off-road.
