WINTER HAVEN, FL – The fire that burned six City of Winter Haven, Fla., motor pool vehicles was accidental, according to The Ledger newspaper. The fire reportedly started in the engine of a roll-off container truck and spread to the other vehicles, all of which were parked together at the motor pool awaiting repairs. The vehicles damaged included two police cruisers, a Ford Explorer, a Ford pickup, a Chevy pickup, and the roll-off container truck. A ride-on mower also was burned in the fire. The fire caused between $75,000 and $100,000 in damage, and the insurance deductible is $25,000 per vehicle, the report said. The origin of the blaze was undetermined as a result of extensive damage.
