LEWISVILLE, TX – The city of Lewisville, Texas, is trying to reduce fuel usage due to the increasing prices of gasoline, according to the Lewisville Leader. Lewisville Community Relations Manager James Kunke said the city has asked employees who drive city vehicles to try to cut down their driving time if at all possible. City employees have been asked to e-mail, call, or walk to complete a task instead of driving. A rule has been set by the city that states a city-owned vehicle should not idle for longer than five minutes unless it is a police officer.
