The City of Watertown, S.D., is transitioning its entire gasoline-fueled fleet to exclusive E-30 use. E-30 is 30% ethanol blended with unleaded gasoline. Ethanol is produced in the city using corn grown by local farmers, according to Dakota Broadcasting.
The fuel producer’s tests show that E-30 blends can increase available horsepower and torque with the same or just slightly different fuel economy, according to the news source.
