VIDEO: Knowledge Sharing Series: Dave Head

In Government Fleet's Knowledge Sharing video series, Dave Head of Head Fleet Management discusses the challenges of a modern fleet manager, stricter environmental regulations, and questioning a police officer’s claim of a brake problem.  

Head spent 46 years in the automotive industry, 26 of those in fleet. He started working at his father’s service station when he was 16.

He is the previous fleet manager for Sonoma County, Calif. Some of his accomplishments during his time at the county fleet include requiring ASE certifications for technicians in 1995, transitioning fleet vehicles to hybrids and electric vehicles, and writing the Fleet Managers’ Guide to Deploying Electric Vehicles.
