Despite an overall low-number 2025, January government fleet vehicle sales saw an increase compared to January of last year, according to sales data from BBM/Government Fleet.

January government vehicle sales came in at 18,028, up 5.1% from 17,148 in January 2025 (Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota did not provide any government fleet numbers for January).

A Look at Cars, Trucks, and SUVs

Trucks and SUVs saw a boost this past January with a reported total of 18,005 sold, which was up 6.1% from 16,974 sold in January 2025. 

Cars, however, followed a similar pattern to 2025, showing mainly lower numbers than the previous year. There were a reported 23 cars sold, down 86.8% from last January's 174 cars sold.
