Police Fleet Innovators Award FAQ

Q: Is this only open to law enforcement fleet departments?
A: No. We recognize that many municipalities, counties, and state fleet departments are responsible for both their core fleets and their law enforcement fleets. This award is open to all fleet departments that manage and/or service law enforcement fleets.

Q: Can I enter my fleet for this award if I have already entered the Leading Fleets award?
A: Yes, as long as you can provide details about an innovative solution your fleet team came up with for a problem your law enforcement fleet was facing.

Q: Does this innovation have to have been within a certain time frame?
A: Yes, this is for innovations your fleet team has come up with between last spring and this spring. We recognize some of these projects may have begun prior to last spring, but try to keep them within Spring 2023 and Spring 2024 if possible.

Q: How many innovations should I include in my entry?
A: The minimum number of innovations we are looking for is 2, but you can include up to 4.

Q: I’m not a fleet manager but would like to enter my fleet to win. Can I do that?
A: You can, but we would recommend you collaborate with your fleet manager on the entry, so they are kept in the loop if you win. They may also have information you can add to your entry.

Q: How detailed should my responses in my entry be?
A: As detailed as possible. The more details, the better!

We want to celebrate your achievements within your law enforcement fleet operations! Questions? Email Christy Grimes at Christy.Grimes@Bobit.com.
