Gamber-Johnson introduced its latest in-car computer docking solution, the TOUGHBOOK Certified Docking Station for the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 rugged tablet.

The latest release is available to order exclusively through Panasonic.

Maximizing Space With a Low-Profile Design

The docking station is manufactured from lightweight CNC machined aluminum to offer an ultra slim low-profile design, minimizing protrusion within a vehicle’s operating space to maximize occupant safety and comfort. It features an all new “floating” docking connector with updated pogo pin style connectors, provides unparalleled reliability in harsh environments.

An all-new gigabit VLAN ethernet port offers rapid data transfer and connectivity for high-speed communications, and also features a total of six USB-A ports:

  • Two USB 3.2 5Gbps ports.
  • Two USB 2.0 ports located on the rear of the docking station.
  • Two additional USB 2.0 ports on the front of the dock for easy access.

The ports ensure ample expansion for all installations and applications.

Dual HDMI ports allow for multiple views and display options for mission critical data, while optional dual RF pass-throughs provide connection of external antennas to ensure communications are maintained throughout.

An integrated cable management system makes for a tidy and organized installation, while the universal VESA 75 mounting pattern makes for simple integration to a wide range of mounting solutions. The dock features an easy to operate, one-handed docking/undocking system with key locking for theft deterrence.
