Six ambulances are out of service in need of repairs in the City of Honolulu, according to Hawaii News Now.

The ambulances represent about a third of the city's ambulance fleet. City officials tell Hawaii News Now that some of the vehicles have been out of commission, waiting for repairs at several dealerships for at least a month. They say mechanics cannot do the repairs when the vehicles have a recall or are still under warranty. One dealership service manager told Hawaii News Now that the delays in repairs are due to supply chain issues.
