EV Connect announced Jan. 18 the general availability of its fleet charging management platform that is designed to balance fleet operations, insights, and user control.

Using an intuitive dashboard, the EV Connect platform can track the state-of-charge, ready time, and overall status of electric vehicles (EVs), with complete visibility into depot specifics. The charging software can also track energy levels and fuel time, as well as send real-time alerts to fleet managers of potential problems.

The City of Porterville, California, is one of EV Connect’s lead customers leveraging the company’s fleet charging management solution for real-time charger and vehicle data, automatic and manual charging prioritization, and energy management to help mitigate on-peak energy costs.

In addition to serving more than 20 of its own fleet vans and buses, the City of Porterville is using the EV Connect platform to optimize its charging schedules for demand response, manage charging costs, and ensure uptime across a multi-vendor charging environment which serves the EV charging needs of public and private fleet customers.
